His diverse experience and leadership have allowed him to excel in various fields, while his passion for Momatos continues to drive the store’s growth.

To budding entrepreneurs, Anjandeep Singh offers the advice that starting a business is not the challenging part. The real difficulty arises when you get into the day-to-day transactions, operations, and monetary rotations. It’s at this stage where many startups face failure. When studying case studies of failed startups, he identified several key reasons for failure, with the primary one being operational challenges. Operations can be a very difficult task to manage, and one of the biggest mistakes is believing that you can handle everything on your own—working at the shop, managing the tasks, and overseeing every aspect of the business. This approach is rarely successful.

Startup Promoter Anjandeep explains, before starting a business, it’s crucial to think about potential operational challenges, such as staffing, salary, financial planning, vendor payments, and overall monetary rotations. Many entrepreneurs fail to plan properly for these financial aspects or fail to overcome operational hurdles. However, Anjandeep emphasizes that if you have a strong command over these aspects, there should be no problem in running a successful business.

Another vital factor, which many business owners overlook, is financial planning. Anjandeep stresses that an entrepreneur should know how to manage and re-utilize their money effectively. For instance, if you're running a business worth one crore rupees, you need to know how to make the most out of that one crore—how to reuse, re-invest, and manage repayments. If you're able to handle re-utilization, keep your vendors and customers happy, and address your operational challenges, then business failure should not be a concern.

In the kids wear market, there are many vendors, manufacturers, and retailers, but what sets us apart from those in both the organized and unorganized sectors? First, it’s important to understand the difference between the two. The organized sector refers to businesses that operate in a structured, planned manner, with proper execution. For example, when you visit a small shop or a general store, you’re typically handed a handwritten bill with the amount noted on it. On the other hand, when you go to a larger retail chain like Reliance Mart or Big Bazaar, the bill will include specific rates, discounts, and taxes.

This difference reflects a transformation that the government is encouraging—to move businesses from the unorganized sector to the organized sector. This shift, however, comes with its own set of challenges. In terms of pricing, customers often face difficulties, and sometimes owners and vendors struggle with procurement. Becoming the owner of an organized brand is not easy, but once you enter this space, the results and profits can be very rewarding. The margins are much better, and modern software tools have made operations much more efficient, though many business owners are still unaware of these tools.

Additionally, e-commerce is playing a crucial role in today’s market. Many successful brands have first established themselves in the e-commerce space before branching out into retail outlets. This shift to online platforms has become an essential step for growth and visibility in modern business.

Momatos has successfully established itself in the e-commerce space as well. Their website, www.momatos.in, has been receiving a high volume of orders on a daily basis. With e-commerce, there are no limitations like having a physical store in a specific location. For instance, if has a store in Udaipur, he would only be able to target the local customers. However, through e-commerce, you can reach a national or even international customer base, which is a significant advantage.

Businessman Anjandeep Singh points out that e-commerce is a powerful platform that is complemented by influencer marketing, digital marketing, and social media marketing—tools that can greatly enhance your business. He would strongly suggest that young entrepreneurs, who are more familiar with today’s technologies, make the most of these opportunities.

Understanding how to effectively use Instagram or Facebook, and building your own website are essential skills to promote your business. If you study these platforms, you will see a significant impact on your results. The return on investment (ROI) in e-commerce can be quite high. For example, while traditional retail outlets may yield a 4x return on investment, e-commerce is such a dynamic field that some businesses are seeing up to a 1:6 ratio.

Thus, Anjandeep Singh concludes that leveraging these modern tools and platforms can allow you to enhance your business on a much larger scale than ever before.

Talking about his inspiration behind joining the business field, Anjandeep Singh shares that engineers possess a unique mindset. He recalls that even during lectures in engineering class, his thoughts were often focused on how to create business opportunities out of what he was learning. Engineering covers various topics and lessons, and his primary focus was always on identifying ways to turn those concepts into viable business ideas.

This curiosity eventually led him to the kids wear industry, which is a massive sector valued at approximately ₹85,000 crores. Upon delving deeper into this field, Singh discovered that while there were numerous players in the industry, it operated in a largely unorganized manner. He observed that there was a significant segment of discerning customers who were unable to find suitable solutions that met their needs.

Through thorough research, Singh realized that this industry presented immense potential and opportunities. It was a space where one could enter and scale to any level desired. With this understanding, he decided to take the plunge and establish his business in the kidswear segment.

Reflecting on his early years, Anjandeep Singh shares that he was born in Kanpur and later moved to Delhi, a bustling metro city where the entrepreneurial spirit is pervasive. In Delhi, he was surrounded by individuals who were constantly coming up with new business ideas, which significantly influenced his mindset and provided him with numerous insights.

Throughout his education, Anjandeep attended more than 10 different schools until completing his 12th grade, which exposed him to a wide range of experiences and perspectives from various places. After finishing college, he pursued multiple courses from around the world, particularly those focused on civil engineering. These courses, such as AutoCAD and other software-related training, have helped him contribute to improving construction standards in India, particularly within the civil engineering sector.

Apart from his business endeavors, Anjandeep Singh is deeply passionate about music. From an early age, he developed an interest in precision instruments. His music journey took him to Gandharva University in Mumbai, where he pursued a diploma in percussion instruments. His dedication paid off, as he secured first position in Udaipur in this field.

In addition to his expertise in percussion instruments, Anjandeep has also participated in numerous singing competitions, excelling in many of them and winning several awards. His involvement in extracurricular activities extended to scouting, where he earned the prestigious title of National Scout, further highlighting his diverse talents and achievements.

Talking about his role models, Singh shares that he doesn't have a single specific role model in his life, as he considers himself to be quite versatile. Instead, he looks up to those individuals who started with nothing, often in very poor circumstances, and eventually became multi-millionaires. Their stories, strategies, and the way they approached their work deeply inspire him. He focuses on studying their thought processes and methods, and strives to implement these lessons in his own daily life.

The quote "To be successful in business, you need to put your heart into the business" is one that particularly motivates him. He explains that many people believe success in business requires intellect, but he feels that it actually requires passion and heart. While discussing business is easy, taking the right actions is crucial. Those actions can certainly be guided by the mind, but it’s the effort and passion—what comes from the heart—that truly drives success.
