Anjana turned her affection for kids into a teaching career, which gave her an opportunity to contribute towards the growth of the little minds.

Anjana Singh is a Primary Teacher at Rockwoods High School, Udaipur.

Originally from Surat, Gujarat, Anjana has been settled in Udaipur for the past fifteen years. Recalling her childhood, she says that she was a naughty child and being the youngest of seven siblings, she enjoyed her childhood. She did her complete education from Gujarat. She has done graduation and PG in the Commerce stream.

Anjana got married in 2000 and came to Udaipur. She pursued her B.Ed from LMTT, Dabok after getting married, as she didn't want to sit idle. She began working right after completing her B.Ed and after working in 2-3 schools, she eventually joined Rockwoods High School.

Sharing her COVID experience, Anjana says that her husband, being a police officer, had to remain on duty which used to worry her of his safety. She says that professionally it was quite a challenge learning to teach through the online mode. But through hard work and dedication, she was eventually able to ace it and even helped other teachers as well.

Anjana considers her father as her role model. She says that he left his home to go to Gujarat at the age of thirteen as his mother had passed away and there was no one to take care of him. He began his journey from literally nothing and gradually rose to the pinnacle of success through his hard work and was able to raise a good family and a decent reputation in the city. She loves his simplicity and desires to imbibe the same in herself too. She is also inspired by her husband who is very understanding and supportive of her.

Anjana loves teaching and whenever she is free, she teaches her children and likes spending time with them. Her son is studying in IIT-Guwahati which is a great achievement for her. She also likes reading books, and travelling.

Given a chance to go back in time with a time machine, Anjana would like to become a guitar player.
