Having started her teaching journey in 1992, Anjana has been carrying forward her enormous knowledge and experience to her students.

Anjana Saxena is a PGT at Jagran Public School.

Anjana was born in Rourkela, Orissa. However, she has been residing in Noida since 1997 after getting married.

Anjana studied ninth and tenth standards in Kolkata as her father was transferred there. After two years in Kolkata, her father was transferred to Jalandhar but she moved to Delhi and lived with her aunt for five years to complete her higher schooling and graduation which she did in English Honors. She then moved to Budaun at her uncle’s and did her MA from there. She did her B.Ed from Lucknow University and did a course in lesson planning at CMS, Lucknow and then moved to Ghaziabad. She says that growing up, she had a childhood which was close to nature and active.

Talking about her work, Anjana says she started her teaching career in 1992 by teaching at CMS, Lucknow. She then moved to Ghaziabad after completing her B.Ed and joined a school there as her father was transferred there. She is currently a PGT English at Jagran Public School, which she joined in 2006. She further says that since 1992 till now, she has been in the teaching field and now she would like to join the educational administration field.

Speaking of difficult times in her life, Anjana says that living away from her parents was quite difficult for her. She says that on a positive note, she became independent and strong by living away from her parents at a young age.

Talking about her achievements, Anjana says that she got to discuss educational methods with Australian delegates at another branch of her school. Adding to it, she says that she is proud that she got to attend Bhartiyam, which is an event showcasing  students’ talent. She is also proud of the various roles and responsibilities that she carries out in her school. She further adds that she is the coordinator of the British Council.

When asked about her role models, Anjana says that she admires her English Teacher from  school in Kolkata due to her teaching style. She says that she also considers the Principal of Jagaran Public School who served from 2008 to 2015, as her role model who taught her many professional as well as personal life skills.

Anjana says that she has been a voracious reader since her school days and still prefers to read in her free time. She sometimes writes blogs as well.

Advising the younger generation, Anjana says that you should not run after marks but knowledge and should do everything with full confidence.
