Anil, the owner of a salon, was always interested in the field of hairdressing. He is also a successful and renowned hairdresser and has been working in this industry for the last eight years.

Anil Sen is the Creative Director at Champion Salon in Udaipur.

Anil hails from Udaipur. He completed his schooling until the tenth grade at Vidya Niketan School and the eleventh and twelfth grades at Gyan Mandir School. He also earned a B.Tech. from Maharaja College of Engineering. Later, he went to Colombo, Sri Lanka, for a course at the Image Hair Academy.

Anil shares that he always focuses on giving new looks and hair colors. This will attract customers and also be helpful in building a satisfied and trusted customer base.

Talking about his challenges, Anil says that he didn’t face much difficulty in entering this field as it was his family business. But when he went to Colombo, he faced many challenges, as communication was a hurdle. He learned how to communicate in English, and with his determination and constant hard work, he completed the course. There is a texture difference, so he decided to practice and worked hard to get perfection.

Sharing about his achievements, Anil says that he participated in various competitions worldwide. The first one was a national-level competition that was also held for the first time in India, where he won the bronze medal. Then in 2014, he participated in the Hair World Cup, where he represented India with his team and bagged eighth place. Then, back again in 2015, he participated and made India proud by bagging fourth place at the Asia Cup. Even at a national-level competition organized by Matrix, India, he came in the top 10 (the only person from Rajasthan) out of 3000 entries from the entire country.

Anil’s role model is his uncle, Kamlesh Sen, who always inspired him as he was also in the same profession. He supported him, motivated him, guided him, and taught him to keep trying until you reach your destination. He learned to work with the basics first, then practice hard to make it perfect. Also, he strongly believes that "practice makes a man perfect", so one should keep practicing hard.

Advising aspirants to his field, Anil suggests that one should first explore it, learn about it, get exposure to it, and know about the future opportunities in this field. Also, one should first start with the basics and then gradually shift towards advancement and then perfection, no matter how long it takes.

Comparing education and experience, Anil says that education helps us get knowledge and interact with people in this field. Also, experience is what makes us grow, so we should keep trying for the better. Also, experience is what makes us grow, so we should keep trying for the better.

Anil believes that social media is the only medium that has elevated the field of hairdressing. Also, social media keeps us updated about the latest trends and styles, gives us new ideas, and helps us expand our domain of creativity.
