An IT professional turned musician, Anand, after working for many years in the IT industry finally heard his inner call and left his job to pursue his passion for music.

Anand HS is an independent musician and music educator based in Mumbai. He is the founder of www.taalmagic.com.

Anand was born and raised in Delhi. He completed his school and college education in Delhi itself.

Anand shares that he worked for twenty years in the software industry and then in 2019, he quit his IT job to pursue his passion for music full-time. He is primarily a tabla player and has been associated with music for the past ten years now, he says. Besides, he also promotes local musicians by organizing musical concerts and also teaches tabla and guitar to students.

Talking about his childhood, Anand says that he grew up in the analog age when there was no internet and mobile phones and it was fun. He started learning music when he was thirteen.

Anand shares that he was a confused kid who had no plans as to what he wanted to do with his life. During his bachelors, he started giving tuition for Financial Accounting. Later, when he came across some courses on software programming, he enrolled in one, and after completing that he became a software trainer in the IT industry and worked in Delhi itself for about two years. Later, he went to Bangalore when he got a job there.
