Amrit started facing mental health problems a few months ago. She had panic attacks and was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. She describes in length how she has had to undergo psychiatric treatment and therapies. She recalls how she had to face a barrage of negative comments from people when she decided to open up about her mental health problems and went live about it. She developed psychosis, schizophrenia and dissociative personality disorder.
But, both her father’s family and her in-laws supported her and stood by her through all her troubles. Her husband has been her backbone through the traumatic times. With their total support she stood up to it and has now bounced back with her life. She has again started shooting ad films. She is working on developing her Instagram page, her YouTube channel and other social media platforms.
On the advice of her psychiatrist she has started loving herself and now does not always think about pleasing others which she was doing earlier which led to the problems.
Amrit says through her story she wants to inspire those people who are suffering from mental health problems but are unable to find courage to open up about their plight.
