Dr. Amit Kumar Gupta is an Educationist and feels that a student learns everything from their teachers and hence teachers have a great responsibility to fulfill.

Dr. Amit Kumar Gupta was born in a village named Bhudoli in Neem Ka Thana, Sikar.

Amit shares that he comes from a lower-middle-class family and his parents worked hard to get him and his three brothers educated. He did his schooling till 10th standard in Bhudoli and his Senior Secondary from Neem Ka Thana. He did his B.Sc. from a Government College there itself.

Amit says that Dr. Mukesh Sharma inspired him to study more and hence he did his M.Sc. from Agarwal College in Jaipur. Then his mentor, Prof. N. S. Shekhawat advised Amit to do NET-JRF. He cleared it in his first attempt under the guidance of Dr. Kailash Choudhary. After that Amit pursued his Doctorate under Prof. N. S. Shekhawat.

After this, Amit joined Lachoo Memorial College of Science and Technology as Assistant Professor. He learned all the qualities of a good educationist and reformed himself.

In 2014, Amit received funding from DST and UGC to present his research paper in Melbourne, Australia. The year 2015 was a turning point in his life when he received an offer to be Assistant Registrar at MDS University, Ajmer which he graciously accepted. However, Amit says that he felt dissatisfied as it was an administrative job and his heart was in teaching.

In 2018, various vacancies were released by RPSC, MLSU, and RU for posts of Professors and Amit started preparing for them and finally got selected as an Assistant Professor at MohanLal Sukhadia University in the Botany Department in June 2018.

Amit says that he has many Role Models from the teaching field. He learned a lot from his school Mathematics teacher Sohan Lal Soni. His Ph.D. mentor Prof. N. S. Shekhawat, who was a retired professor from Jay Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur, taught Amit the discipline that a teacher must adhere to. Dr. Uma Pillai of the Lachoo Memorial College of Science and Technology also had a great influence on him.

Amit says that the only Success Mantra in his life is to be honest with yourself.

Amit advises the young generation who are planning to join the field of Education to not consider this as a job but as a social service. He thinks that Teaching is a noble profession and must be opted by only those who are passionate about this field.

Amit says that his hobbies are reading research papers related to his field and reading storybooks.

Amit can be contacted through his email which is [email protected].
