Before taking over his troubled family business of LPG gas distribution, and bringing it out of the woods, Amit spent almost ten years working in the corporate sector. Now, along with the distribution business, he also runs a female ethnic wear store successfully.

Amit Galundia is a LPG Gas Distributor of the Bharat Gas company in Fatehnagar, a town close to Udaipur. He also co-owns, along with his wife, an ethnic women’s wear store by the name of Lajja in Udaipur, which offers a variety of ethnic clothing options, including Kurtis, Lehengas, Indo Western, and others for females.

Udaipur is the place where Amit was born and raised. When Amit thinks back on his early years, he remembers having grown up in the historic city of Udaipur. In his childhood, he would fly kites and play with his siblings.

Amit  finished his schooling  and graduation from Udaipur itself. He later went to Mumbai to pursue his MBA . He started working in Mumbai after earning his MBA degree. He spent around ten years working in Mumbai. He worked for several large companies, including Pantaloons and the Reliance Group.  When he left the corporate job, he was serving the Aditya Birla Group and earning 24 lakhs per annum.

According to Amit, he was compelled to return to Udaipur in 2014 due to family circumstances. His mother's uncle, a co-owner of the LPG distributorship, passed away suddenly. His mother had no experience managing the firm and was merely a silent partner in the LPG distribution business.  Amit was compelled by this to return to Udaipur in order to take charge of the family business.

Ever since, he has been involved in the LPG distribution business, helping to grow it. He started off with 10,000 consumers and put forth a lot of effort to bring it to 28,000 clients over the course of six years. In 2019, he, along with his wife, opened Lajja.

Discussing his struggles, Amit states that he had to leave his well-paying job to work for his family's LPG distribution business. He could have progressed up the corporate ladder in the last 10 years, which he had to put in his family business.  He claims that the LPG distribution business was in a bad shape when he came to Udaipur. He  did not know anything about the operation of the LPG distributorship.  When Amit first joined the company, he had to start from scratch. Over the next one and a half years, he put in an extensive amount of effort to turn the company's fortunes around and return a profit. It was difficult for Amit not to withdraw any money from the business during the course of the one and a half years.

Amit's secret to success is to never stop moving. Never second-guess what you did in the past. You will succeed if your emotions are in check. It's critical to distance oneself from the setbacks of the past.

For Amit, his mother serves as his inspiration. He says that after his father passed away, her mother assumed most of the family's responsibilities.

If Amit could go back in time in a time machine, he would have pursued business back then because he always dreamt of having his own company.

In his leisure time, Amit enjoys travelling, nature walks, seeing new places, and taking long drives with his spouse .
