Akshay Tripathi is the co-founder of Inspiro Management and Consulting and Vampfire Business Solutions.
Akshay completed his school education in Udaipur. As with every entrepreneur, he had the curiosity of one and began experimenting with gadgets from his childhood. He completed mechanical engineering at Techno India NJR Institute of Technology, Udaipur. His first job was as a bouncer in pubs for a year during his college years. Subsequently, he went on to become a gym trainer for three years and was also working as a virtual assistant at Fusion Business Solutions simultaneously. However, he was frustrated with his 9-to-5 lifestyle and wanted to pursue an entrepreneurial career. He decided to start his career with his cousin, and they eventually found Inspiro, a consulting agency.
Akshay shares that he has always been interested in science and technology from a tender age; he was always a creative thinker and developed ways to make gadgets. His childhood curiosity, combined with his knowledge and experience after college, gave him innovative visions for his enterprise. He never wanted to depend on his parents for monetary purposes. He earned money by completing other people’s projects during his days at school. He had once suffered from jaundice during childhood. He got to analyze his health and lifestyle better during his illness, and he decided to join fitness. He started to work out and diet, and eventually his fitness improved. It has been eight years since he joined fitness. His earlier jobs as a bouncer and gym trainer are an example of his improvement over the years from a frail child to a man who had built his ideal physique.
Sharing about his experience during COVID 19, Akshay says that it was difficult for new startups. The economy of the country was declining, and during this time, he believed it was easy for people to give up as none of the circumstances were in favor of budding entrepreneurs. He himself decided to reflect and build strategies during that time, despite the financial losses. He also believes that the pandemic has taught us that we should care about our environment. Health, both physical and mental, needs to be scrutinized by oneself, and proper attention should be sought if found to be deteriorating.
As a piece of advice to budding entrepreneurs, Akshay asks them to take care of the people they are associated with. As a businessman, you should try to associate with as many like-minded businessmen as possible. You should also be aware of the latest trends and seek opportunities to make life easier and better.
On the topic of leadership, Akshay says that you must be down to earth, keep an open mind, be patient with team members, and help them learn and participate actively in team discussions instead of commanding them or rejecting their opinions.
If Akshay could go back in time, he would rectify the five years he spent depressed and unmotivated in life, wherein he achieved nothing.
Akshay likes to open up new gadgets and learn about their internal workings. Apart from that, he likes PC gaming and fitness. He also enjoys riding a motorcycle and going on long rides.
Akshay’s role model is Elon Musk, who always says that ordinary people can be extraordinary. Arnold Schwarzenegger is his fitness role model.
Akshay shares that in 2015, he created his drone because drones were very expensive to buy. He was fascinated with drones and always wanted one. However, he could not afford one, so he decided to learn about the workings of a drone and build one.
Akshay’s biggest advice to students is, "If you can't purchase it, build it."
