As a music artist, Akshay provides systematic learning of music to people of any age group at his institution. He believes that if you are ready to face the consequences, then act without fear.

Akshay Sharma is a Guitar Teacher and Director at The Music Bench in Jaipur. He is also a YouTube content creator and is currently running his own channel, My Guitar Methods.

Recalling his childhood, Akshay says that he belonged to a middle-class family with a non-musical background. Initially, until the eighth grade, he wanted to become a ‘pandit’ as he was influenced by the Sanskrit language. In tenth grade, he participated in many competitions like debates, etc. to improve his skill of speaking on stage.

Akshay shares that in the twelfth grade he decided to become a Journalist. After completing twelfth grade, he also started playing the guitar as a hobby, and then slowly his interest grew in this field. He did many shows with others, and then in 2012 he started teaching to play the guitar. He completed his B.Com. and BA with an additional major in singing. He also passed the grade exams at Trinity College of London for Guitar. He took certification courses related to music at five different universities. In the year 2018, he decided to choose teaching music as a profession.

Accepting his mistakes, Akshay says that he makes mistakes every day. His biggest mistake was to waste time and not understand the importance of time. He carried the ignorance in his initial stages and learned that it is important to manage time properly.

When asked about his role models, Akshay says that there are various personalities in the music industry who have inspired him a lot. He learned a lot from many people. He also admires Jagjit Singh and is influenced by his personality.

Sharing his achievements, Akshay says that in the year 2018, he was the First Indian Music Teacher who took different courses from different universities. He started the first branch of his institution in 2019 and also opened the second branch in the same year. He also started making YouTube content during the pandemic. He was selected by a company called Front Row to grow their YouTube channel, and he made videos for them.

Advising aspirants to his field, Akshay says that hard work and luck are the two factors that are required to become a good artist in the music field. One must  have unique qualities to achieve success in this field. A lot of practice and dedication are also required. In today’s era, the opportunities in this field are also increasing, like government vacancies for music teachers.
