An Entrepreneur, Akshay explored many fields before discovering the potential for his successful future in operating an online textile business.

Akshay Kumar Jain is the proprietor of “Rupees Textile Mills” in Bhilwara. His company, "Rupees Textile Mills," was founded in 2016 and is engaged in the production, supply, and export of various textile-related items.

Recalling his childhood, Akshay says he had a happy childhood. Although his parents got divorced, his maternal grandparents gave him the best upbringing. He completed his school education and college education at his maternal place. He completed his master's degree at Bhilwara. He also pursued CA and attempted the CA final exam, but he couldn’t make it. Then he worked in various fields to gain knowledge, like accounting, import-export business, and auto finance. When he found more opportunities in the field of textiles, he established his own textile industry.

Speaking about his struggle, Akshay says he always wanted to establish something of his own. He and his best friend wanted to start their business in the field of electronics but didn’t get any funding from any financial institution. After the rejections from everywhere, his friend went back to join his job, and Akshay was again left with no clue about his future.

He then explored the textile industry and started an online dealing process to operate his business, which was new to the market in 2016. In 2016, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetization, Akshay’s business received a huge boost. He also feels that one must not rely only on online channels but also keep exploring offline channels. He feels that until we explore the market; we do not learn about the product’s weaknesses and the other possibilities of business.

Akshay shares his experience during the COVID period and says that when the companies were facing a difficult time doing business, he was running his business smoothly because of his online channels. And now his business is doing well in 2023, and he is exploring both online and offline channels.

Speaking about his mistakes, Akshay says everyone makes mistakes and learns from them. He wants the youngsters to learn from his mistakes and make their business decisions wisely. Initially, in his business, he only paid attention to sales. But he feels this was one of his biggest mistakes, not paying close attention to product reviews, payment recovery, and customer feedback. He also advises the young entrepreneurs that they should take care of their customers' feedback to improve their products, production, and payment channels to run the business successfully in the long run.

When asked about his role models, Akshay says he considers the founder of Reliance industries - Dhirubhai Ambani, as his role model. Dhirubhai also started first by doing trading, and then he established a textile industry, so Akshay seeks inspiration from his journey. He also looks up to Sachin Tendulkar and M.S. Dhoni, the legendary cricketers, as inspirations.

In his free time, Akshay enjoys spending time with his family. He also likes to play cricket, as he used to be a state level cricket player.

Akshay’s life mantra is believing in simple living and high thinking. He also believes in succeeding in the long run, keep learning, developing your skills, and growing as a person.

Akshay suggests to the young minds that first they need to get a clear idea of the industry and set their goals. There are several fields in the textile industry, like production, trading,  yarn trading, and garment trading. They can even get training and do courses about the textile fields from various institutions and obtain funds from government financial institutions.
