Hailing from a small town, where studies were the only way to measure one’s potential, Akash had to conceal his artistic talent. However, after working in different jobs, in 2017, he finally took the plunge and set up his own Tattoo studio.

Akash Raghav has been a Tattoo Artist since 2019. He has his own studio by the name Tattoo Kalakar in Mohali, Chandigarh.

Akash thinks that an artist has always been there inside him for as long as he can remember. He never really had to seek any external motivation to become a tattooist.

Akash was born and raised in Bathinda, Punjab. He says that hailing from a small town where only studies were given importance, he had to hide the artist inside him. He was not that good in studies and after completing his school education, he worked for Puma, Adidas, etc. as a salesperson. However, he always wanted to follow his passion for art. In 2016, he quit his job, went to Delhi, and completed his training in Tattoo Art from an art studio based there. Upon completion of his training, he worked at the same studio for a short time. Then he worked at a couple of other tattoo studios as well. In 2017, he finally laid the foundation of his own tattoo studio by the name Tattoo Kalakar in Mohali.

For Akash, Success is not about earning money but about earning name and fame.

Talking about mistakes that he made in life, Akash says that he became addicted to alcohol which left him debilitated. However, later he improved upon his bad habit and everything became all right in his life. He advises youngsters to restrain from any sort of intoxication  to live a happier, healthier life.

To people who want to start their own business, Akash advises them to follow their interest and passion and then convert it into their business. He says that one should never copy anyone as it doesn’t necessarily mean that if they got success in something, you would too.
