Akash Deep is a CA who feels that if you work hard even luck will come onto your side.

Akash Deep is a Chartered Accountant and is running his own firm.

Akash says that he was an average child in his school days. However, when he saw his friends scoring well, he started working hard. He improved his academics and scored around 95% in his senior secondary.

After doing his 12th, he was not sure what he wanted to do and after a gap of six months, he decided to opt for C.A. in 2011.

Akash says that he does not come from a very financially stable background and hence he started teaching after his 12th standard. He was managing his own studies for CA and was also taking out time for the part-time teaching job.

After not being able to clear CA exams despite several attempts, Akash decided to go for a regular job. However, soon into the job, he decided to start trying again for CA, and this time he cleared it while doing a job.

Akash says that after that he started working for a CA firm but  working there completely finished his social life. He says that there was no work-life balance left in his life. So, he decided to leave his job and start his own firm. Akash says that switching from a well-paying job to something which would not pay well for many months or even years was a tough call to make. But,  he is glad now that he took the plunge.

Akash says that he has struggled a lot. Firstly, not clearing CA after repeated attempts was a tough time for him. Then getting clients for his firm and struggling with finances was also tough for him. He says that in all this, the biggest achievement has been clearing the CA examination even after going through such a rough patch.

Akash says that COVID was a fearful time for everyone. It was a new disease and nobody actually knew what to do about it. Akash says that he invested that time in building new contacts and growing his business.

Akash shares that during his struggle period the one thing that kept him grounded and stable was mediation and the practice of Vipassana. He says that it has taught him to be calm and composed in the toughest of times.
