As the District Sports Officer, Ajit oversees sports activities at the Gandhi Ground and Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon in Udaipur. He is also into yoga and has treated back and knee problems of more than 500 people through Yoga-Pranayama. Besides, as a volleyball coach, he has produced two international players and about 100 national players in Bhilwara and Udaipur.

Ajit Kumar Jain is currently employed as a District Sports Officer in Udaipur. He is in charge of all sporting events at Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon and the Gandhi Ground. He reveals that at the Gandhi Ground, free sports education is available for kids in eight to ten different sports. However, Khel Gaon charges a little fee to participate in 15 different sports as it comes under a society.

All sports activities at the two centres are conducted, and the coaches operate under Ajit. Describing the excellent facilities available at both the centres, he shares that at the time of practice if a kid sustains an injury, techniques to treat sports injuries are used to get him ready to play again within four days. If a ligament gets injured during a sporting manoeuvre, the coaches treat the wounded player with ice packs for three days. He has also healed several persons of illnesses with yoga. Using yoga and pranayama, he has treated between 400 and 500 patients for back and knee issues for free and without the need for medication. He enjoys encouraging and supporting people who are struggling in life.

Sports is currently an area that both the Indian and Rajasthani governments are interested in, says Ajit. He expresses happiness that India's new, successful sports programme by the government helped our players win 107 medals in the Asian Games. He explains that a sportsperson who competed at the national or international level in any sport may now be eligible for a direct government position under the new sports policy. He claims that psychology is crucial in sports, and students can acquire lifelong skills such as punctuality, positivism, and excellent daily routine via sports.

Ajit describes that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented a programme called Khelo India, wherein a child can develop their talent at one of the organisation's district-level training centres. If the child passes the test, they will receive Rs 1 lakh at the district level, 3 lakhs at the state level, and 5 lakhs at the national level per year. Along with that, the student receives facilities to play, gets an appropriate kit, and training. If a young player shows promise and wishes to advance, the government will pay for all their coaching fees abroad..

Ajit recalls he began playing volleyball in sixth grade after being inspired by his father. He is from the  little  hamlet of Devapura, which is close to Jawar Mines. In the ninth-grade, when he won the Best Player Award, his father gave him a lot of encouragement. He remembers how, whenever he returned from a tournament, his father would always talk to him about every aspect of the game and encourage him to improve.

Later, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in business, but his father summoned him back to tell him that he needed to pursue a career as a coach in the sports industry. He then underwent training in Kolkata, and in 1991, he started working with the Rajasthan Sports Council in Barmer as a volleyball coach. He has produced two international players and around one hundred national players in Bhilwara and Udaipur in the past six months while working as a sports officer.

His father has been the biggest inspiration in his life, and it is mostly because of him that he is involved in sports. He is always inspired to play well by his father. According to him, the tactics and approaches we employ in games are also applied in real life, where we must employ shrewd and practical thinking to get through challenging circumstances. Lord Hanuman serves as his second source of motivation, giving him the fortitude to overcome any difficult circumstance.

Speaking about his struggles, Ajit states that he had to face hardships when he was posted to the backward district of Barmer. Discouraged by his meagre salary, he considered leaving the job, but her father encouraged him to stay.

Reflecting on his accomplishments, Ajit states that he worked in Bhilwara for ten years and participated in at least 250 competitions. His success is that he and his squad won the majority of the volleyball competitions. In addition to competing in ten or twelve All India competitions, and winning in many of them, he competed in university competitions four times.

He claims that, in contrast to now, competition was far more fierce in the past. In volleyball and in basketball too, height is a major factor. Second, he counsels parents to let their kids participate in sports only if it  interests them. Along with solid coaching, he taught his pupils activities that would help them grow stronger and taller. Additionally, it is recommended that all coaches perform the same drill with their athletes, regardless of the sport. To encourage the participants, they also have selection criteria.

Ajit believes that having enthusiasm for what you do is essential to achieving any kind of success. He suggests that in order to participate in any sport, discipline and punctuality are necessary. He gives the young people advice on how to lessen the negative in their lives by getting up early. Additionally, he recommends that rather than studying at night, students should study early in the morning. According to him, if your daily routine is correct then your life will automatically get organised.
