His journey into music began at an early age, inspired by his sisters, who pursued music as a hobby. Tiwari was often seen playing around on the piano his father had bought for his sisters, creating melodies of his own.

One of Tiwari’s major achievements was getting approved by All India Radio as a music artist. He also became a finalist on the popular TV show ‘Dil Hai Hindustani.’ Seeking further exposure in the music industry, Ajay Tiwari moved to Mumbai, where he continued to pursue his dreams. In Mumbai, he performed in numerous live shows and band performances, sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Shaan, Ajay Atul, and A.R. Rahman. These experiences helped him gain recognition and establish himself in the industry.

His early fascination with music sparked a deep interest, though his parents initially didn’t encourage him to pursue it professionally. Instead, they urged him to focus on academics, particularly engineering.

Ajay Tiwari, from a village in Madhya Pradesh, completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya before moving to Kota to prepare for engineering entrance exams. Though he was unsuccessful in gaining admission to an engineering college, this period marked the rise of his true passion for music. Despite his parents’ wishes for him to pursue engineering, Tiwari decided to follow his heart and pursue music instead.

Tiwari’s turning point came when he was admitted to Lovely Professional University in Punjab. It was here that he met his music guru, who played a significant role in shaping his career.

Under his guru's guidance, Tiwari began formally studying classical music, which helped him grow as a musician and opened doors to new opportunities. He soon started winning prizes in Western vocals and ghazals, showcasing his versatility as a singer.

Despite his growing success, Tiwari’s ultimate goal has always been to break into Bollywood, though he has yet to get the opportunity. He acknowledges the struggle of balancing his engineering studies with his passion for music. In hindsight, he feels fortunate that his path didn’t lead to engineering, allowing music to become his career and true calling.

Ajay Tiwari is deeply inspired by his music guru, who, despite being visually impaired, has made remarkable achievements in the music industry. Tiwari also looks up to music composer Aditya Pushkarna, whose work and career path have motivated him to aim high in his own musical journey.

When Tiwari is under stress, he finds solace in playing and listening to music, which helps him relax and stay focused.
