Coming from a village background and then to dream big in life, entailed its own set of challenges and struggles for Ajay, but he kept working hard and becoming a teacher in an Engineering College is a position in his life which would just be a dream for him otherwise.

Ajay Pal hails from a small village named Kenpura in Pali. He completed his primary education in his village itself and studied till 10th in a nearby village in Pali . He completed his higher secondary in Jodhpur. Then he completed his engineering from CTAE, Udaipur.

After completing his engineering, Ajay worked in different jobs. He taught at a diploma college, worked at Hindustan Zinc in mining etc. Currently, he is teaching at Pacific Institute of Technology in the Mining Department.

Reminiscing about his childhood, Ajay says that he would walk to his school and sometimes on the way to his school, instead of going to school, he would bunk his classes and play cricket with his friends.

Ajay says that personally for him, the Covid pandemic was quite a challenging time. He had come to his home for his brother’s marriage and got stuck there only. He had also resigned from his job and had to struggle to find another. But he utilised this time to brush up his academic knowledge. His whole family had come to his village for some wedding ceremonies and he got to spend time with his family and relatives. He would play cricket and explore places around his village. His evenings would be spent chatting with the elders in the family. It was a fulfilling time for him on a personal front.

Talking about struggles in his life, Ajay shares that hailing from a village background and to reach where he’s today was not at all easy for him. He completed his primary schooling in his village so his foundation was not that strong and later when he opted for Science-Math stream in his high school, he had to struggle with some subjects, though he was always good at Mathematics. He worked on improving his weaknesses and passed with good marks in his 12th board exams. Later he went to Kota for his IIT-JEE preparation, but couldn’t clear the exam. Though, he got admission to CTAE, Udaipur. He opted for mining engineering there looking at the trend. But later he realised that he was interested in some other discipline so to continue studying it was a bit of a struggle for him.

After completing his B.Tech., he took admission in M.Tech. and simultaneously taught at a diploma college. He juggled his M.Tech., teaching work at the diploma college and his UPSC Civil Services Exam preparation. He went to Delhi and then Jaipur to prepare for the Civil Services Exam but had to face failure. He is still struggling with regard to finding the right direction in his life.

Talking about achievements in his life, Ajay says that coming from a village and getting admission to a good engineering college, is an achievement for him. Besides, working in different fields and learning is also an achievement for him.

Ajay considers his grandfather as his role model. He says that his grandfather was a teacher and always maintained an inspirational personality. He worked hard and made a name for himself in his village.

Ajay aspires to be in a good position in the future to help people and inspire others. His life mantra is to always remain positive in life and work hard. He advises that we shouldn’t consider any work as small or big, whatever we do, we should do it wholeheartedly.
