Following in his father's footsteps, Ajay expanded his family business. He finds fulfillment in performing social duty and inspiring everyone to give back to society in whatever way they can.

Ajay Khathuria is a businessman based in Udaipur. He is the owner of Ajay Marbles. He deals in granite, marble, sandstone, and marble handicrafts.

Ajay was born in Udaipur into a joint family. He went to Alok School for his studies. After completing his schooling, he studied at MB College. He shares that his father started this marble business. After his father’s sudden demise, he took over the business and took it to new heights.

Ajay says that his name is taken with pride whenever the discussion turns to social service and helping the poor and the elderly. He, with his sweet smile and helpful nature, is always pursuing efforts to bring the same smile to the faces of the disadvantaged.

Ajay says that he wanted to join the Indian army if he had not become a businessman. He donates blood frequently in memory of his father, the late Jawahar Lal Khathuria. His father died in a road accident in 2000 due to a shortage of blood. On that day, he took a pledge that he would try his level best, that nobody would die from a shortage of blood, and that he would donate blood regularly. He motivates other people too, especially the youth, to donate blood. He explains that blood donation doesn’t make you weak. To donate blood, all you need is a big heart, not money or strength. Blood donors can postpone possible death and give life to someone, he explains.

Ajay also works for women's empowerment and welfare, and his work has been appreciated by several women's NGOs. He also plants trees in rural areas to promote environmental awareness.

Ajay says he was shocked by the events that unfolded when COVID struck, leading to a huge loss of lives. Those scenes broke him from the inside. He believes that God has blessed him to serve the poor and the terminally ill. He spent a fixed amount of his earnings on various donations and on social service. He donated food, water, clothes, and medicines to poor households. He also provided stationery to the government schools. He feels his parents’ souls will be proud of his work.

Ajay says that he is a respected personality in the Sindhi community in Udaipur and believes in Sanatan Dharma. He is donating 1000 copies of the Bhagavad Gita, in memory of his parents, to schools, colleges, temples, libraries, and old-age homes.

Sharing about his achievements, Ajay says that he has received several awards and appreciations from various government departments, like the Department of Social Welfare and Justice and the Department of Child Welfare. He has also received the Maharana Pratap Award and many other awards from Labh Chand Jain Sansthan and Lok Jan Sansthan, as well as from many prominent persons. He aspires to establish a blood bank and an old-age home equipped with all the facilities.

When asked about his role models, Ajay considers his father and Ratan Tata as his inspirations for engaging in charitable activities. He also considers the founder of Alok Sansthan, the late Shyam Lal Kumawat, and Dr. Pradeep Kumawat as his role models who shaped him into a fine person.

Ajay shares his life's lessons. He says that in business, not taking a risk is also a risk. Besides, money makes money. Furthermore, we should not take negative criticism of people seriously, and instead, we should make a mansion from the pebbles thrown at us.

Ajay advises that instead of buying everything online, we should encourage our local vendors by purchasing from them. We should only buy things online that are not locally available.

If Ajay could go back in time via a time machine, then he would want to relive the time when he was a careless kid and had his parents beside him.

He says that today he has everything in life, but nothing can fill the void in his life left by his parents’ deaths.

Ajay advises everyone that, besides your profession, you should also engage in humanitarian activities. You can donate food, clothes, books, etc. as per your capacity.
