Aditi Dutta is into Fashion Design and Art Curation. She is the founder of Aakar, a house of contemporary art.

Born in Kolkata and brought up in Lucknow, Aditi did part of her schooling at St. Mary’s Convent School, followed by studying at Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Recalling her childhood, Aditi shares that she grew up watching Looney Tunes and Disney and spent more time playing outdoors. Adding to it, Aditi says that she enjoyed dressing up dolls and attending art exhibitions, which sparked her interest in the field.

Aditi says once she met  the well-known fashion designer Sharbari Dutta while working at Anand Bazar Patrika. Aditi worked with her on modelling and designing concepts. Thereafter, she was suggested by Ms. Dutta to go for professional training.

When asked about her role models, Aditi says she draws inspiration from her father, who taught her patience and the value of honesty. She is also inspired by Sharbari Dutta and admires her modesty and down-to-earth attitude. Aditi also names Sunil Das, a painter and philosopher, as her role model. She considers her mother's and her mother-in-law’s support as one of her blessings in life.

Aditi advises aspiring fashion artists to work with dedication since there is no end to creation in the field of art. She adds that the path will be difficult, but it will have beautiful outcomes.

When free, Aditi likes to travel and explore new places.
