A Jaipur-based Astrologer and instructor of Ramal Vidya, Acharya Anupam Jolly’s contribution to the study of astrology is indispensable. Anupam is striving to bring Astrology into the mainstream as a subject with a pragmatic approach toward it. His expertise in Ramal Vidya, a branch of Astrology that uses special divination techniques, has made him a sought-after teacher and practitioner. Through his teachings, he aims to dispel misconceptions surrounding Astrology and highlight its practical applications in everyday life.
According to Anupam, he had the same conventional job options as other children, including engineering, medical, administrative services, etc. He received a B.Sc. after finishing his education. He also obtained a diploma in computer application. But Anupam's passion for astrology led him to enroll in a reputable institute to expand his knowledge. He developed a unique method that blends conventional wisdom with contemporary sensibilities, combining his scientific training with the ancient knowledge of astrology.
Even though he was seeking a formal degree, Anupam claims that he read up on astrology. Many of his friends would tell him that reading about astrology was a waste of time and advise him to focus more on his academics. However, he continued learning about astrology and reading about it, and before he knew it, his love of astrology had turned into a career. He has made a name for himself as an accomplished astrologer and is currently enjoying great success in his career.
Despite not having any family connections to astrology, Anupam believes he was destined to become an astrologer due to his childhood dreams of celestial bodies. He has revived the Ramal Shastra, a branch of astrology that had nearly gone extinct. He studied and wrote books on the subject, teaching it to students from France, Russia, and the U.S. Anupam's expertise in Ramal Shastra has gained him recognition within the astrological community and among enthusiasts worldwide. His passion for reviving this nearly forgotten branch has allowed him to establish himself as a leading authority in Ramal Vidya and continue to grow his reputation.
Anupam recounts his childhood experience of attending a distant English-medium school while studying at a Hindi-medium school. He struggled to adapt to the new medium and requested that his father send him back to the previous school. After six months, Anupam was worried about failing his exams. His father took him to an astrologer who had made his horoscope based on his birth details. The astrologer predicted he would pass his exams with a second division, and he did. This incident made Anupam curious about astrology and the potential benefits of a second division in his studies. The story serves as a reminder of the importance of adapting to new environments and learning from experiences.
Speaking about his accomplishments, Anupam lists receiving the honor of being called an Acharya by his master as one of them. In addition, he received other honors from the All India Institute of Astrology. Anupam was the only person from Rajasthan to get the Krishna Murthy Memorial Award. He has authored books on Indian Geomancy and Ramal Gyan. These accomplishments demonstrate not just Anupam's proficiency in astrology but also his commitment to maintaining and disseminating traditional knowledge. Anupam has ensured that old wisdom is accessible to future generations by means of his works, which have contributed to its propagation.
During the COVID pandemic, Anupam started taking virtual classes and providing free consultations to the needy. He also distributed food packets to the needy under his NGO's aegis, with the help of volunteers. Anupam's dedication to serving the community extended beyond virtual teaching and free consultations. He spearheaded initiatives to alleviate hunger and ensure food security for those most affected by the crisis, organizing large-scale food distribution drives to reach vulnerable individuals and families.
Anupam emphasizes the importance of education and experience in the field of astrology. He believes that education is essential for learning astrology, but experience is more crucial to understanding its complexities. Practical knowledge gained through hands-on experience is essential for understanding astrology's nuances. He believes that continuous learning and application of astrological principles in real-life situations enhance one's skills and experience in the field.
According to Anupam, studying astrology for a short time won't qualify someone as an astrologer because it's a sophisticated science. An adept astrologer must put in a lot of time and work. Additionally, he says that astrology is a very serious field and that an astrologer should never deceive or manipulate their clients.
According to Anupam, astrology may predict if your future will be prosperous or not. But failure is inevitable if you don't put in the work. Anupam highlights that astrology is a tool to help people make educated decisions, rather than a quick route to prosperity. He believes that although astrology can provide insight into both favorable and unfavorable times, it is ultimately the responsibility of the individual to take initiative and really work toward their objectives.
Anupam enjoys listening to western, Indian classical, and folk music, playing chess, and reading philosophy and spirituality books to relax and stimulate his mind. These activities provide a deeper understanding of life and the universe.
Anupam suggests that individuals should pray to their religion's superpower, as their efforts and prayers can bring positive results. He also emphasizes the importance of maintaining a positive outlook, balancing physical and mental well-being, and maintaining a positive outlook for overall happiness and success.
Anupam advocates for regular exercise and meditation as a means to achieve balance, improve quality of life, and foster inner peace, leading to greater happiness and fulfilment.
