Abhishek recalls that during his school days, he had stage-fear, but, after once pushing himself to the stage at the time of his farewell, he started liking performing arts. Thus he decided to become an actor, but upon sharing it with his father, he received nothing but denial from him. Regardless of it, he went for auditions after completing his twelfth and even got selected but again his father refused to allow him to continue with it.
Abhi subsequently joined a B.Com. course in Gorakhpur. After about four months he again pitched his wish to his father and this time his father agreed to let him pursue a filmmaking course. Thus he went to Kerala to learn the martial art and eventually moved to Mumbai to give a start to his career after five months of training. There, he learned about the industry more than he actually got some work. However, working in Mumbai for a year and seven months and acting in about fifteen sitcoms, he realised that he should look for work in the Telugu film industry as he has been a fan of South-Indian movies growing up.
So he moved to Hyderabad and started going for auditions just to realise that he needs to learn Telugu language before anything else. And thus, he made it his mission to learn the language in three months, upon achieving which, he started getting work and got to work in many movies, he even got a small acting role in a huge movie - Major. He also kept teaching Kalaripayattu and Yoga in the meantime.
