After facing initial hiccups, Abhishek Singhvi has steered his mining company Rajasthan Barytes Ltd. out of trouble and is going great guns now.

Abhishek Singhvi hails from Udaipur. He was born in Udaipur and spent the formative years of his life here only. He went to the prestigious Mayo College, Ajmer to complete his schooling. Further, for his college education, he went to Mumbai to earn a bachelor’s degree.

After completing his graduation, Abhishek worked with an export company. He moved on to Birla Finance and worked there for some time before finally heading back to Udaipur. When he came back to Udaipur his parents were keen on him earning an MBA before joining their family’s mining business. So he applied to some colleges in the USA but could not get admission owing to lack of corporate experience. So he thought of joining his family business to gain some experience.

Sharing about the hardships in his business Abhishek says that when he joined his family business it wasn’t going well. They had to shut their mines due to some government compliances. But they fought for it legally and won. And thus they resumed their mining business.

He also shares that he has sacrificed a lot in his life. From not spending enough time with his family to staying away from them for many days he has made many sacrifices. But, he says, to succeed in business it’s all required.

Take every opportunity that comes your way, be it small or big.

If he could go back in time and undo something Abhishek would not change anything and want to do the same business as he is doing now but in a better manner.

During his free time, he likes to play tennis and swim. He has also taken a new-year resolution to resume playing tennis and swimming.

Abhishek says that in today’s time education is extremely important. But experience helps you grow. Besides education, he also stresses the importance of partaking in extracurricular activities.
