A live performer and songwriter, Abhishek started learning music at the age of six. He never feared struggle and worked hard at every stage of his life to achieve his desired goals.

Abhishek Mukherjee is a lead singer and music composer at AR Divine. He has been pursuing singing for the last 16 years.

Recalling his childhood, Abhishek says that he had an interesting childhood and was a mischievous child. He used to play cricket a lot, and he had also played at the state level.

Abhishek says that he belongs to a family of musicians. His father was his first guru. His father advised him to move to Mumbai to learn more about  classical music and the Bollywood music industry. After coming to Mumbai, he learned the importance of small details in music and the struggles made him more patient and hardworking.

Talking about his challenges, Abhishek says that when he came to Mumbai, he struggled a lot as he did not have any godfathers. Many times, directors would not meet him. Nevertheless, he feels all that struggle  made him stronger.

Sharing his mistakes, Abhishek says that after gaining popularity, he became laid back and thought that he would easily get work, but soon realized that he had to work hard every day on his skills and promotion in order to achieve success in this field.

Talking about his achievements, Abhishek says that when he was six, he got to perform in an event and was awarded the Rabindranath Tagore award for his performance. He won the Sur Shringar with the guidance of his guru and participated in several reality shows. He considers his biggest achievement to be working with Padma Shri Kailash Kher. He has also worked with artists like A.R. Rehman and Shankar Mahadevan. He also assisted Vishal and Shekhar.

When asked about his role models, Abhishek says that his father had recognised his talent and encouraged him to learn music. Besides his father, Kailash Kher is his biggest inspiration, and he has learned a lot from him.

In times of stress, Abhishek likes to play the guitar, which gives him mental peace.

Abhishek’s life mantra is to keep trying and to never give up.
