Abhishek was always passionate about becoming an artist and with his hard work he made his dream come true. At present he has four academies in Pune where he teaches DJ and Music Production to students and helps them become fine artists, besides DJing in India and abroad.

Abhishek Karua hails from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. He always had a passion to become an artist, be it a DJ or a Music Producer. He got that opportunity in Pune when he went there to pursue his higher studies. Currently, he is DJing in Goa and is exploring his career as an artist in the country and abroad. He runs a DJ and Music Production academy in Pune, having its four branches there.

Reminiscing about his childhood, Abhishek says that his childhood was spent well in Jamshedpur and he is still in contact with his childhood and school friends. He did all his schooling from Jamshedpur. Then he went to Music Mantra Academy, Pune to study DJing. He has learned Music Production from Mumbai and works in both the fields in combination.

Abhishek shares that along with his studies in Pune, he started working and joined Wipro where he worked for United Airlines, at just eighteen years of age. Over time, he did multiple jobs at different profiles in different companies.

As far as challenges are concerned, Abhishek says that he has done a lot of struggle in life and because he is an artist so there were plenty of challenges. Because, in their career, opportunities are less and artists are many. But he says that in order to make his place among the people, he recognized his talent and marketed it correctly in front of them. So he has been able to reach this point today.

Abhishek believes that the biggest mistake in his life was that he didn’t have a backup plan. Because in school, he was a dancer, then he wanted to become an artist and while studying for DJing, he was working in a call center. So his journey has been like a roller coaster ride. And when he felt it was the right time to follow his passion, he left everything behind and just jumped into DJing. In the initial two years, he struggled a lot and nothing happened as he had imagined. He went ahead correcting his mistakes, and then he got success in this field.

Abhishek shares that getting into the field of DJing is a very difficult decision because if you don’t have that thing inside you and if you are not passionate about it, you can’t survive in this field. Apart from this, the amount of money that the outside world sees in this field, the same amount of hard work is also involved, but that only an artist would know.

When asked about role models, Abhishek says that there are several people who have helped and inspired him to grow personally as well as professionally.

Apart from work, Abhishek likes to teach students at his academy and do some administrative work. Also, he has started taking online classes and learning about social media. He enjoys cooking and listening to music besides traveling.
