Abhishek, a former dance teacher, transitioned to journalism after struggling in the modern market and learning various reporting methods and languages. He believes in giving back to the community by assisting those in need.

Abhishek Joshi is a reporter working at ATN News Udaipur.

Abhishek was born in Udaipur. Some of his childhood memories include the tourist sites in his city and the busy crowds of foreigners, as well as riding a bicycle to his grandparents' home during summer holidays. He feels sad about the natural lakes of Udaipur that are being polluted and advises that we should care about our environment and the heritage of the lakes of Udaipur.

Abhishek used to be a professional dance teacher. He taught dance for 20 years and has choreographed many TV serials. However, due to the modern market, he was not successful in the face of contemporary competitors. Hence, he started a career in journalism. When he first started, he knew nothing about the art of reporting. Determined to learn about the profession, he learned the various ways of reporting and built confidence through speaking and learning languages to develop fluency in them. He is now one of the best TV news reporters on the ATN news channel.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when everyone cared about saving their own lives first, Abhishek took a different path, which was the path of selfless service to the sections of society working at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic. He delivered food packets to the underprivileged sections of society, the policemen working on patrols, and the nurses and doctors who attended to the patients in health centers and hospitals. He also distributed food packages to the COVID patients and their relatives at Maharana Bhupal Hospital, Udaipur. Abhishek personally faced resistance from family members. Despite that, he still risked his life to serve those in need.

Abhishek advises budding reporters not to treat a reporting job as an ordinary nine-to-five job. You must always seek the truth and should not care about the timing; instead, you need to throw yourself at the opportunity of a great scoop if it is available at any time of the day, be it midnight or morning. He asks that you always report truthfully and not care about the dangers of doing so.

When asked about his role models, Abhishek says that in the realm of journalism, he looks up to his superior, Manu Rao, and learns a lot from him.

If given a chance to go back in time, Abhishek wants to go back to the days he used to teach dancing. Abhishek says he has choreographed award shows for serials like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Uttaran, and F.I.R.

In his free time, Abhishek composes music. He also participates in social work and spreads social awareness through songs and music videos. He donated all earnings from his album "Beti Bachao" to the government's child support funds.

On a concluding note, Abhishek asks us to be vigilant of one’s personality and never lose sight of the true goal in life. He believes that trust in oneself and God is what drives everyone to face the unknown and achieve. You should trust yourself rather than others.
