Despite going through numerous hardships in his life, Abhishek used them as lessons to pave the way for a brighter future and start his own company. He holds the belief that fulfilling our dreams should be a self-reliant journey, without relying on assistance from others.

Abhishek Garg owns an Auto Finance Company, specialising in providing loans for second-hand cars.

Born in Jaipur in Sambhar Lake village,  he later moved to Udaipur. His expertise lies in securing car loans, either through bank partnerships or with his own skills. Though he is new to this venture, cars have been a lifelong interest for him.

Before venturing into his current business, Abhishek worked in retail banking. However, his passion for cars always beckoned him. While in banking, he faced numerous challenges due to the intense competition in the industry.

Abhishek pursued a B.Tech. degree but later discovered that his career aspirations didn't align with the IT sector. Switching to the banking industry, he found a path where he could thrive. Recognising his knack for selling car loans, he eventually decided to venture into entrepreneurship within this field.

Abhishek noticed that banks lacked the time to handle paperwork individually or personally approach clients. Customers also felt reluctant due to the cumbersome loan process. Recognising this gap, he positioned himself to reassure clients and facilitate approval of loans efficiently.

Recalling his journey till now, Abhishek begins by saying that he studied in a government school until 5th grade, then switched to a private school until 8th grade. His academic path encountered challenges from 9th grade onwards, when he faced exam failures and had to repeat classes, leading him to relocate from Jaipur to Udaipur for his 12th-grade education. Intrigued by computers, he pursued a B.Tech. from Vidyapeeth University but found that an IT career wasn't his calling. Opting for the banking sector, he turned down lucrative offers from banks like SBI due to location preferences.

Remembering his struggles, Abhishek expresses deep gratitude towards his supportive friends, who provided financial aid and encouragement during tough times. He reminisces about a challenging incident during his college days when he found himself in a fight, prompting him to hastily seek refuge in Pune for safety. He struggled to make ends meet during those days.

Abhishek gained professional experience at various banks, particularly in facilitating car loans and interacting with customers. He emphasises the significance of effective communication in becoming a proficient salesman. He prioritises post-sales service and transparency, refraining from imposing hidden charges on customers. He tailors car loans to match individual eligibility and profiles, advocating for purchasing vehicles within one's financial means.

Advising aspiring individuals entering this field, Abhishek emphasises the high cost of mistakes in this industry. While acknowledging the lucrative earning potential, he cautions that even minor errors can escalate into serious offences. He highlights the opportunity to make connections with diverse individuals within this career path.

In his leisure time, he enjoys workouts and outdoor activities but remains accessible to clients, prioritising their needs.

Comparing education and experience, Abhishek stresses the importance of dedication in this field. While experience holds greater value for him personally, he also recalls the wisdom of Amitabh Bachchan: "When you stop learning, you stop winning." Acknowledging their equal importance at different stages, he advises setting clear life goals and pursuing them with dedication.

Regarding role models, Abhishek views Ratan Tata as his role model, citing the tycoon's prominence in the automobile industry. He admires Tata's humility, visionary approach to business, and resilience in challenging circumstances.

If given an opportunity to revisit his past in a time machine and something in his life, he holds the belief that past actions, once taken, are best left unchanged. However, he emphasises the importance of ensuring that present actions do not inflict harm or cause distress to others.

Expressing his views on leadership, Abhishek acknowledges that he wasn't inherently a born leader. Instead, he developed leadership qualities by learning from his experiences. He emphasises the importance of learning from everyone and being open to advice from others.

His life mantra is "Earn enough that you never need to see a price tag before buying anything."
