Abhishek has turned his hobby into his livelihood and has been working ardently in the field of Content Writing and Digital Marketing.

Abhishek is the owner of a Content Writing and SEO company by the name of Abhi Content Writer based out of Kolkata.

Abhishek was born and brought up in Chandannagar, a town near Kolkata. He did his schooling at Chandannagar Banga Vidyalaya. After that, he pursued his graduation in Mathematics Honours. After completing his graduation, Abhishek decided to switch his career to the IT field as there were not many jobs in the subject of his specialisation. He appeared for the MCA entrance exam and secured the 281st rank in all of West Bengal. Then he got admission to a prestigious college and pursued his further education.

Abhishek says, along with being a good student and a good sketcher in his school days, he was also a professional cricket player. He has played in the U-16 Bengal Cricket team for about two years. But he believed that Cricket as a profession is not very lucrative unless you are a really talented player. And thus he decided to discontinue professional cricket for the sake of his studies.

Around 2011, Abhishek started his journey as a Content Writer as just a hobby. He says when Facebook was in its preliminary stage in India and was gaining ground, he started writing blogs on the platform. Also, his college was quite expensive for him, so he hoped to make some extra money out of writing to pay his expenses as he comes from a humble background.

Gradually his blog got popular and once it hosted about 30,00,000 visitors, crashing the blog page. After that, he started getting clients, marking the start of his content writing journey. He also hired his college mates to help him meet the increasing client demands and started earning about 30k-40k per month during his college time. About the time he completed his college in 2014-15, his team of part-time content writers had about 20 people. Currently, Abhishek has a huge client base, and he has been dealing with many industry leaders for many years now.

Talking about his hobbies, Abhishek says that he loves watching good cinema and playing cricket.

When it comes to role models, Abhishek says that Steve Jobs and Sundar Pichai are his role models. He says Steve is his ideal when it comes to marketing and Sundar Pichai’s story inspires him that even a guy coming from a humble background can lead the biggest tech company in the world.

Abhishek thinks that diligent and constant learning is essential for growth in the field of content writing. He says that one should focus on gaining in-depth knowledge and learning important tools of digital marketing and content writing and not just focus on easy money, as it is an ever-changing industry.

Abhishek says that when COVID striked, he couldn’t initially believe that there was a virus so deadly and omnipresent. But when some of his friends got it, he became careful. His company also took a toll due to COVID as he had to shut down the physical office and still pay the rent for ten months before finally winding up. Eventually, he adapted himself to the situation and learned how to conduct zoom calls and other essential things online and carried on.
