Abhirup Chowdhury is a dedicated Freelance Actor making his mark in both the Bengali and Hindi film industries.

Born and raised in Kolkata, Abhirup has been immersed in the world of acting for the past four years, passionately engaging in theatre, web series, and commercials.

From a young age, Chowdhury had a deep love for movies, consuming Bollywood, Hollywood, and Bengali films with enthusiasm. His desire to be part of this vibrant culture led him to start working in theatre during his school days, eventually opening doors to film opportunities.

Abhirup Chowdhury’s  journey is rooted in his middle-class Bengali upbringing, where his father, a theatre artist, faced obstacles that prevented him from fully pursuing his passion. Abhirup completed his education at National Gems Higher Secondary School, Kolkata, and went on to earn a master's degree in Computer Science.

His transition from Academics to the Arts began with theatre performances, which paved the way for his involvement in commercial ads, including notable campaigns for the gaming app ‘My11 Circle’ with Saurabh Ganguly and several other national brands like Axis Bank. He has recently completed a series for Amazon Prime, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Reflecting on the challenges of acting, Abhirup Chowdhury acknowledges the numerous struggles he had to face and emphasises the importance of accepting the inherent ups and downs of the creative field. He believes that achieving success in acting and other creative domains demands resilience and perseverance.
