Sharing about her achievements,  Dr. Abhilasha Sharma says that her journey as a writer began in her 7th grade, when she wrote for visually impaired students. Today, she is a prolific author in the field of law, with an impressive portfolio of 45 published books. Her works, which cater to both Hindi and English mediums, are published by prominent publishers like the Khetrapal Law House, Indore and the Wadhwa Law House,  Gwalior.

Her significant contributions to legal literature earned her a place in the World Book of Records, London for writing the highest number of law books in a district in both English and Hindi, marking a remarkable achievement in her academic career.

Abhilasha Sharma’s journey into teaching began with a profound love for education and writing. Since childhood, she had been driven by the desire to make a difference in the lives of students. Her commitment to academia was solidified during her 7th grade, when she volunteered to write papers for visually impaired students. Witnessing their remarkable intellect and memory, despite their lack of sight, deeply inspired her.

She recalls asking those students how they managed to retain so much information, to which they attributed their success to the excellent teaching they had received. This inspired young Abhilasha to pursue a career in education, aiming to leave a similarly positive impact on her students.

Abhilasha Sharma’s academics began in her hometown of Dewas, a city in Madhya Pradesh, where she completed her graduation at Government Girls College. She later pursued an MA in English Literature, but eventually moved to the field of law. Sharma earned her LLB and LLM degrees from Ujjain, where she graduated as a university topper. Currently, she is enhancing her expertise by pursuing a Ph.D. in Law at Shri Vaishnav Institute of Law in Indore itself.

Abhilasha Sharma draws inspiration from various influential figures who have shaped her outlook on life and work. At the core of her values is her devotion to Shri Krishna, whom she regards as her eternal guide and mentor. She credits her spiritual beliefs for instilling in her the importance of joy, balance, and dedication in all endeavors.

Among her professional role models, Er. Sanjeev Agarwal, the Honourable Chancellor of SAGE University stands out as a source of wisdom and inspiration. Abhilasha Sharma speaks highly of his leadership and the philosophy he embodies, particularly his belief in the mantra: "Sat-Chit-Anand Se Raho." This phrase, which translates to "Stay in Truth, Consciousness, and Bliss," serves as a guiding principle for her. She emphasizes that keeping joy in one’s mind while working is essential for achieving success. Without happiness, she believes, no task can reach its full potential.

Another figure who has profoundly influenced Abhilasha Sharma is the  Pro-Chancellor of the university, Prashant Jain. She admires his ability to create a positive and lively atmosphere wherever he goes. Sharma notes the excitement and enthusiasm his visits bring to the campus, describing him as a source of unwavering support and guidance for faculty and students alike.

Abhilasha Sharma lives by the timeless teaching of the Bhagavad Gita:

“कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।”

which translates to "Do your work without attachment to the results." This philosophy has guided her approach to both her professional and personal life. She believes that every individual has a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the world without worrying about the outcomes.

According to Sharma, the act of doing one’s work with sincerity is itself a reward, as it aligns with the purpose of being alive. She likens this to the small ant, which tirelessly works to fulfill its needs, and stresses that humans, too, must find meaning in action and purpose. This principle not only motivates her but also serves as a cornerstone of her teachings to students.

Witnessing their ability to navigate life without sight left an indelible impression on her. She resolved to donate her eyes, ensuring that even after her death, a visually impaired person would be able to experience the beauty of the world.

While her family initially resisted her decision, Sharma stood firm, successfully registering as an eye donor. Later, she expanded her commitment by registering as a heart donor and continues to advocate organ donation among her peers and community. For her, this act of giving aligns with her belief in purposeful living and her desire to contribute to the betterment of others.

Sharma reflects on the privilege of sight, emphasizing its value and the difference it can make in someone else’s life. She encourages everyone to consider organ donation, stating that it is a profound way to leave a legacy of kindness and compassion. Her unwavering determination to make a lasting impact exemplifies her belief in living a meaningful life.

Abhilasha Sharma concludes with a heartfelt message for her students:

“रख हौसला वो मंज़र तो आएगा, प्यासे के पास चलकर समंदर भी आएगा,  थक्कर न बैठ ए मंज़िल के मुसाफ़िर, मंज़िल भी मिलेगी और जीने का मज़ा भी आएगा।”

which means “Do not fear challenges; face them with courage and determination. Success will follow.”
