Aarti Trivedi is a Lecturer in English at Jawahar Higher Secondary Government School, Ratlam. She has been associated with the field of education for the last twenty-two years and after next two years, she is going to retire. She says that the importance of education was more in their time because today’s generation has become arrogant. However, she thinks, with the passage of time, the level of education has improved a lot.
Aarti belongs to Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh and completed her studies from there itself. She did her M.A in English. Then she did her B.Ed in 1998 and from 1999, she started teaching in Higher Secondary Schools.
Aarti says that she always wanted to work in a Bank, for which she gave many competitive exams but could not make it. Her husband also didn’t want her to do any job so she kept on taking care of the house for fifteen years after her marriage.
According to Aarti, along with Education, Experience is also necessary because without education you cannot progress further. She adds that even if a person is not educated but has experience, they can do something or the other and make a living.
Besides being a Teacher, Aarti is also a member of Lion’s Club, Ratlam and fifteen years ago she was the President there. In addition, she has also done a lot of work in the field of social service.
During the Covid pandemic, Aarti distributed food packets to the poor. During the second Covid wave, they made packets of ration and raw material and distributed them in slum areas. Apart from that, they distributed masks too in nearby areas.
Aarti considers her father as her role model because she has got education because of him only and whatever she is today, it is because of her father.
Aarti advises the young generation to contribute some percentage of their earnings to social work to help the needy and that will make them feel satisfied. She says that if you do some work for any poor or needy person, that gives happiness to your heart.
