Aarav is a certified Zumba instructor, certified strength training trainer and fitness trainer.
Aarav’s dance academy is in Bangalore. He started his academy in 2015. He started with only three students in his dance class, but now he has more than three hundred students for dance, and two hundred plus students for fitness training.
Aarav completed his Bachelor in Business Management (BBM) in 2012. He worked for two years in corporate companies, but then decided to fully pursue dance as a career. Aarav started pursuing dance as a dance educator specialist certified from the Council of Ontario University, Canada. Aarav’s aim was to teach kids not only the style of dance, but actually how to dance with all their heart. He takes up classes for all age groups from three years up to sixty years.
In school, Aarav was more into cultural activities and not much interested in studies, and this took quite some time for his family to understand. Although he tried doing what his parents wanted him to do, he says, one cannot stay in a place where they are not happy and satisfied. So, dance was the only option he had. He quit all his other jobs and chose dance as his profession, and he is proud of it.
Talking about the pandemic, Aarav says, just like everybody else, he also had to face a lot of difficulties. He had to shut down his business, and it was very hard for him to go through those six to eighth months in which he had to shift his business to online. Because, dance is a profession where one has to be physically present in order to learn, it was a very tough phase for him to go through. But, despite all that, he put in his best efforts to overcome the problem.
Aarav shares an incident from his childhood, where he got a very big stage to perform and show his dance skills. He got selected for a state level dance competition, where he self choreographed himself, and he won. This was a turning point for him because Aarav realized that dancing made him happy.
Aarav’s Success Mantra is to work hard and stay loyal to his profession. He says if a person can do that, nothing can stop them from achieving success in life.
Aarav’s role model in life is Dharmesh sir, whose struggle has inspired him to work hard and to achieve his goals.
Talking about the things that he should have and shouldn’t have done in his life, Aarav says he wasted five years of his life pursuing BBM and then working in corporate companies. When he got the chance to correct his mistakes, he did what his heart said and completely switched to dancing and fitness.
Lastly, Aarav says his favourite sport is Kabaddi as it entails strength, stamina, technique and continuous activity. He is proud that such a sport originated from India and is now famous across the globe.
