A trainer, Aakanksha believes that good communication is required in any field. She has been working in this field with the motive of developing the skills of the young generation.

Aakanksha Badiwal is a Skills Trainer and Documentation Officer at the Ambuja Cement Foundation in Udaipur. She is also a freelance Graphic Designer.

Aakanksha belongs to Bhilwara, Rajasthan.

Aakanksha explains that the Ambuja Cement Foundation runs its Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute to train the youth of rural areas. There are different types of training provided, like Hotel Management, Customer Relationship Management, Microfinance Executive, etc. She trains the youth to learn soft skills and works for their personality development, as youth are the future of our country.

Recalling her childhood, Aakanksha says that she spent her childhood in Bhilwara, and she also has a lot of memories of Udaipur as her maternal home is there. She completed her education with a B.Com. from Bhilwara, and then she went to Pune to complete an MBA in Marketing.

Talking about her journey, Aakanksha says that she completed her MBA in 2019 from the Balaji Institute of Modern Management, Pune. Then she worked for Kotak Mahindra Bank but didn’t get inspiration or satisfaction from that work. So, she switched to One Tech and learned about tech products, training and development, and business development. Afterwards, she quit her job during COVID and came back to Udaipur, where she decided to join the Ambuja Cement Foundation to work in the field of corporate social responsibility. Apart from this, she is also pursuing her studies in Data Science and Analysis.

Sharing her struggles, Aakanksha says that initially she wanted to become an interior designer, so she got a Diploma in Graphic Design. But her parents didn’t support her in fulfilling her dream. She faced the challenge of dropping her dream and then prepared for the CAT exam along with her graduation. But, as she passed graduation in the second division,  she was not able to get admission to any of the IIMs. But through these struggles, she became self-dependent and made decisions on her own.

While comparing education and experience, Aakanksha says that education can give you only knowledge, but the experience is helpful in providing various opportunities and platforms to grow in life.

Aakanksha’s role model is her mentor, Dr. Abhilash Modi, as she learned various courses from him. She also got guidance and motivation from his journey.

Aakanksha’s success mantra is patience + persistence + perspiration = success.

Advising aspirants to her field, Aakanksha says that it is important to learn the skills first from any platform like Skill India Mission, PMKVY, etc. It is also essential to implement the theory in practical life to enhance knowledge and experience. It is also very important to learn communication skills and time management in this field.
