Aahaan was born and raised in Mumbai. He completed his school and college education in Mumbai itself. He did a Bachelor in Mass Media Communication from Mithibai College.
Talking about his childhood, Aahaan says that his ancestral roots belong to a small village in Gujarat. However, his great grandparents moved to Mumbai a long time back and he was born and brought up in Mumbai itself. He has been a Mumbaikar all his life. He says his childhood was spent really well. At school, he would participate in sports, athletics, and cultural events and had great teachers. He was a state-level runner for his school.
When asked about his role models, Aahaan says his parents are his role models. He says his father himself is a film director and his father’s work ethics and all the struggles he faced in his career are worthy of emulation for him. Besides, his mother who was a banker and left her job just to look after her family is also a role model to him. Further, M. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, a film director is also a role model to him.
Talking about his hardships, Aahaan says at school he used to be the center of attraction owing to his achievements and talents. However, when he joined college, he could see many more people like him who were as talented as he was and it made him self-doubt himself. And, from an extrovert, he became an introvert and got cocooned in his own shell. However, it was her mother who nudged him to join his college’s dramatics club and it helped him open up with people at his college. He participated in many cultural events at college and also directed and wrote a few plays for his college dramatics club.
Aahaan advises people never to stop believing in themselves irrespective of what people have to say about them. He shares a piece of learning from his father that those who can’t get ahead of you only talk behind your back.
Aahaan requests all the social media influencers to be wary of what they post on social media as in today’s social media driven world things can spread like wildfire and their one wrong message can create unrest in society beyond repair.
Aahaan’s Success Mantra is to not just work hard but work smart as well.
Aahaan says he raises his voice when he feels something is wrong. However, he says that there’s a way to put forth your views and one should put their views in a way that they become a matter of discussion and don't turn into arguments.
Aahaan thinks that making mistakes is human and even the greatest of people in history made mistakes. He says you learn a lot from your mistakes.
To aspiring people who want to work in the film industry, Aahaan says that now is the right time to join the industry, and with the rise of the OTT platforms there’s a lot of scope and opportunities to create content. Besides, he advises them to just keep at it even if things don’t seem to work out for them.
In his spare time, Aahaan likes to be at home and spend time with his family. Besides, he also likes to meet up with his group of friends.
Aahaan’s message to people is that more than anything else it’s your mental health that matters the most and you should never shy away from seeking help for your mental health issues.
