Even after becoming a CA, Aaditya kept pursuing his passion for art and theater. He has written and directed several plays in the last four years. He believes that theater is a medium to reach people.

Aaditya Trivedi is a Writer and Director. He is also a Chartered Accountant.

Aaditya hails from Ahmedabad.

Recalling his childhood, Aaditya says that he remembers listening to bedtime stories from his father. When his father asked what he wanted to do when he grew up, he would always answer that he wanted to become a director.

Aaditya shares that while he was preparing for his CA exams, he participated in a national convention event, where he did his first play for his CA institute. Though accidental, it was his first step towards acting. He was one of the managing members of the group, and they themselves planned, prepared, and directed the script. He performed with Vishal Shah, a Gujarati actor with whom he has been working for the past ten years. He says that he enjoyed the whole process, but the way the director conveyed his message through the play fascinated him the most. After that, he focused on just playwriting and directing and rarely acted in plays.

Sharing about his journey, Aaditya says that he realized that the art and theater industries were very uncertain, and he must make himself financially stable before pursuing art. So, he completed his CA and has been dedicated to his passion for the last four years. He advises youngsters to always have a plan B in case they fall out of this industry.

Describing his experience, he says that in the COVID lockdown, things would have been difficult if he had only relied on art, and the CA degree had helped him to continue working for his passion. All in all, he has had a fantastic journey with his own ups and downs. He had housefull shows some days and some days not, but he enjoyed doing his work.

Talking about his challenges, Aaditya says that as a director, the most challenging part of his job is to hold the team together and see that everyone is satisfied and is willingly contributing to the play. As a writer, he says that some days he is not able to write a single line and feels frustrated. He also wanted to become an RJ and was also selected for an internship at a radio station, but he could not pursue it as he decided to first complete his CA course, but destiny led him into the theater industry.

Sharing about his mistakes, Aaditya says that he regrets leaving his full-time job. He has learned from his mistake and is currently working as a freelancer with a CA firm. He feels blessed to have mentors like CA Palak Pavagadhi, who guided him in his CA life, and Vishal Shah, who supported him in his artistic journey.

Talking about his achievements, Aaditya says that the applause he gets from the audiences after his shows is his biggest achievement.

When asked about his role models, Aaditya says that he has been inspired by Pratik Gandhi, a Gujarati actor who is known for his role in the webseries, Scam.c

For mental peace, Aaditya likes to sleep or write things out.

Aaditya’s life mantra is that "Life is a race between rabbits and tortoises, and if you can’t be a rabbit, at least be a tortoise."

To all the budding artists, Aaditya advises them to follow their hearts but also have a backup.
